As an Attorney for Child, Ms. Evansen provides legal representation to children at all stages of Dependency proceedings, serving as an independent representative of a child, advocating for their stated desires in court and in all related meetings including IEPs and family planning meetings addressing placement decisions – making sure that all decisions are made with care and deliberation; and, when placement outside of a parent’s home is necessary, the child’s attorney works to help identify relatives, fictive kin and other suitable placement alternatives.
